Work begins on making HMP Highpoint ‘UK’s largest jail’

A rural jail is to extend its capability by greater than 50% to turn out to be “the UK’s largest” jail, the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) has stated.

Three four-storey houseblocks will probably be constructed at HMP Highpoint in Suffolk, between the villages of Stradishall and Nice Thurlow, close to Haverhill.
